In Japan, they call it “forest bathing.” In California, we call it walking in the natural beauty of our glorious mountains and magical redwoods allowing us to slow down and disconnect with the external world in order to reconnect with our internal world. This retreat in the forest resets and refreshes our physical, mental, emotional and energetic bodies from the toll that fast moving technology, stimulating media, and the general overwhelm that can accumulate in our daily lives.
Wes Linch and Tina Rath invite you to their annual Surya Bheda Yoga Retreat April 25-29 2018! Come bath in the forests surrounding the Ratna Ling Retreat Center in Sonoma County, just 2 1/2 hours north of the San Francisco Bay Area. Grounded in the Tibetan Buddhist wisdom traditions, Ratna Ling emanates a peaceful and nurturing environment that is perfect to cultivate healing from the stressors of everyday life. We will spend four days and five nights together focusing not only on our practice, but our own well-being.
Come experience the playful and insightful synergy between Tina and Wes as they skillfully hold space for and help you build your yogic container. Not only will you patch up some of the leaks that naturally happen, but you will learn to build up a reserve of energy. When we feel contained and nourished, we can more effectively direct our attention towards the things that are meaningful in our lives. Each day will include joyful vinyasa classes, deeply healing yin, pranayama, and practical philosophy designed specifically to replenish creative energy and showcase yoga as a multi-faceted approach to a satisfying life.
About the Instructors
Authentic, spirited and thoughtful, Tina teaches from a core of passion and joy that recognizes worthwhile journeys are not always smooth and easy. Tina offers a clarified and challenging practice where a slower flow emerges from sophisticated and creative sequencing. The residue of Tina’s classes – the cultivation and sustainability of energy reserves, the ability to breathe through difficulties and release physical and energetic blocks – leaves the body fortified, strong and supple, the mind at rest, and the spirit expanding towards its most vibrant expression.
Passionate about education, Tina blends yogic wisdom from her personal practice and studies with over 700 hours of training from some of the most highly skilled teachers, Maty Ezraty, Tias Little, Mynx Inatsugu and Lakshmi Norwood. She has a deep understanding of how to nurture and harness creative energy, whatever form it may take, from her career as a professional artist.
Wes was first introduced to yoga and Eastern philosophy 10 years ago with desire to know more about himself. He quickly discovered the benefits of yoga far exceeded open hips.
Having received over 700 hours of training mostly through YogaWorks, he now assists in the YogaWorks teacher training program. He mentored under Mynx Inatsugu and continues his studies with other well respected teachers including Lakshmi Norwood and Mark Horner. Wes received Shaktipat by Shri Anandi Ma and studies the traditional tantric lineage, Kundalini Maha Yoga.
Wes is a dedicated and passionate teacher focusing on bridging the gap between breath, alignment and awareness through movement. He makes the philosophy of the practice relevant by delivering traditional yogic teachings with a contemporary twist. His classes are challenging, full of great humor and heart!
